This item was just what I wanted, great quality, as expected from Screwpull, and easy to use. It’s a litle expensive but should be worth it in the long run.
This is by far the best corkscrew I’ve owned. Other reviews of the same model mention problems if the cork is not removed, but I’ve not encountered these problems yet, so I give it the full five stars.
The first thing that appeals to me is the beauty of the item. It is like a sculpture. Believe it or not, I love having it just for the pleasure of looking at it when I use it. It even makes me smile when I’m looking for something else and happen upon it by chance.
Second, it has the easiest-to-use action of any corkscrew I’ve had. I suspect that is because of the length of the lever which probably provides the best leverage avaiable. Its operation is smooth as silk, as is the ejecting action. Also, the manner of placing it on the bottle and squeezing is, in my opinion, easier and more natural than the older “double-wing” method.
If you don’t mind spending the money, I recommend this corkscrew without reservation. It is as lovely to use as it is to look at.

Screwpull Metal Wine Pump & 3 Stoppers I’m a single woman so it often takes me a long time to finish off a bottle of wine. Because of this I found myself hesitant to open any nice bottles for fear that I wouldn’t be able to finish them before they went bad. This gadget has been the perfect solution for me. The stoppers have fit perfectly in all the bottles I have tried thus far and do a great job of improving wine longevity. They add a good couple (and sometimes I can push the bottle further) days of freshness to my wine and give it more longevity than the stoppers I have tried that do not use a pump. The pump is also very easy to use. It doesn’t require a lot of strength and it is clear from giving the stopper a gentle tug that the seal is holding. The simplicity and speed of use is what makes this gadget invaluable because it means that I use it every time I open a bottle of wine. Having limited kitchen space I also appreciate how small this gadget is because I can slip it right into my cutlery drawer and have it on hand when I need it.

This was advertised as a 5 piece set – what actually arrived was a two piece set. It was for a gift so I did not have time to get it corrected and had to settle for what was shipped. Either the product was wrong or the description was wrong. Please fix.
I have a large wine cellar and open wine nearly every night. I have used many corkscrews in a similar style. All others have broken, some ‘Ebay Specials broke in just days. Some have slipped gears, some have the auger drive into the cork, then back out the same way without pulling the cork.
This corkscrew is well made. An important consideration for me, it carries a 10 year warranty. My only downgrade is the plastic handles. They do bend as you secure to the bottle and remove the cork. Of course, had I spend a few dollars more, I could have had the metal frame and not had that problem.
As far as the accessories, they are okay, but buy for the corkscrew not the accessories.
